Unlocked

Because I really don't feel like spending $2000 for the Tiffany version.

Animal Instincts

I am going to reserve my copy of Walton Ford: Pancha Tantra right away. If only I had the cash -- or the space -- for one of his wonderful, ginormous, and hilarious watercolors. *sigh*

Piece It Together

This ingenious cutting board also doubles as a fantastic serving piece.

Fashionable Friday: In Theory

If there is one contemporary designer that consistently brings it, it's Theory. Yes, the price point is high for the product, but the clothes are wearable, modern and last a long time. Also? if you need a classic suit, Theory always has an updated version available, tweaking the design every single season. This fall, I'm particularly in love with some of the non-suiting options. Take a look:

Whoa.

Perfect weekend wear.

Ignore those horrifying pants.

A subtle ombre treatment to a classic shift dress.

I never thought I would see the day when I approved of slim cargo pants.

Get yours here, here, here or here. Or, if you're lucky, at an Off Fifth, Nordstrom Rack or even TJ Maxx. Have a great weekend!

I Don't Speak French But ...

J'adore these petite French boxes.

Baaaa!

I just find this to be hilarious and ridiculous at the same time.

Doubled Up

I call this look "comfortable."

Wrong Number

Ye Olde Barn wants to charge us 40 clams for some numbered mason jars. Love the concept, but I think I can do this myself at less than half the price.

Vampire Repellant

And now I have a new way to chop garlic.

Just A Simple Girl With A Dream

I'm in the market for a few basics this year. I have my eye on some of these. We can always benefit from some deliciousness on a Friday afternoon ...

A new dress for the office.

A long open cardigan.

Fantastic motorcycle boots.

This bag.

A great top.

I can't give away all my secrets. But you get the idea. Have a great weekend!

New At The Crew

How the Crew manages to bust out a new, loveable slew of clothes every 30 days is beyond me. But I want one of each.

Check out other new arrivals here.

Thar She Blows

Ahoy Matey!

Vroom

I'm really jonesing for some biker boots this season. I have an old, beat up pair and they need to be retired. Here's what I'm looking at now.

Leave it to Barneys Co-op to do it up just right.

J.Crew's sister shop Madewell offers a utilitarian option. No bells and whistles, but it does the trick.

This Tory Burch option is more feminine with the heel, and that wrap belt is something to behold.

I can't abide by those dated tracksuits, but these motorcross boots from Juicy are great.

Love that cris-cross strap around the ankle of these DVF motorcycle boots.

My boyfriend Frank always comes through in a pinch.

Arc Rival

I recently saw this in person and went absolutely ape over it. It's a great lamp!

Sui-eet

The highly anticipated Anna Sui Gossip Girl Inspired collection for Target has just hit the stores. And because I'm such a giver, I went and tried on a bunch of different pieces and will now report my coveted opinions to you all. Hee!

I call this the shark dress because of the teeth. I have seen this one in a slew of fashion magazines and while it does photograph well, it's a hot mess in person. The waist is too high and it has some jacked up strap action going on in the back. Not good.

They call this a dress, but it is more like a completely sheer piece of fabric with dots. Oh it has real potential, but I just don't have any use for something like this.

I didn't try this one on, but it sure looks adorable in the photo.

This is what I call the Wednesday Addams dress. It's a satin, drop waisted flapper type dress without the fringe. It's cute.

I ended up with this. Oh, it's completely sheer but it does look great with a cami underneath. I also think that unlike the rest of the pieces, it represents way better in person.

Overall, I found this designer collaboration to be of a much higher quality and wearability than other Target collections. For that reason, these pieces have been selling out of the stores right quick. Did you get any pieces, and if so, report back!
